A clear, printable film laminated to woven polypropylene bags for high-resolution, full-color graphics and a glossy retail finish.

Common name for an FIBC. Configurations vary by fill spout, discharge spout, lift loops, liner, and Safe Working Load (SWL).

A measure of the linear mass density of woven polypropylene tape. Higher denier generally means a heavier, stronger fabric.

A large woven polypropylene bag, also called a bulk bag or bulk tote, typically used to transport 500–4,000 lbs of dry, flowable material.

Material manufactured under controls suitable for direct contact with food or feed ingredients.

Another measurement of film thickness. 100 gauge ≈ 1 mil. Often used for stretch and shrink films.

The folded side or bottom of a bag that expands when filled, giving the bag a flat, square base or wider profile.

A unit of film thickness equal to one one-thousandth of an inch (0.001″). Stretch film and poly bags are commonly spec’d in mils.

A bag built from multiple plies of kraft paper, often with a poly liner, used for products like flour, sugar, pellets, and chemicals.

Two common bag closures. Pinch-bottom uses a heat-sealed adhesive strip; SOM is sewn closed after filling.

A clear or printed plastic bag made from low- or high-density polyethylene. Used as liners, produce bags, and shipping covers.

A bag made from woven polypropylene tape, valued for strength, tear resistance, and low cost. Common for seed, feed, and minerals.

The maximum weight an FIBC is rated to safely carry, based on a 5:1 or 6:1 safety factor from its tested breaking load.

A stretchable plastic film used to wrap baled forage, excluding oxygen so the forage ferments and preserves as silage.

A highly stretchable plastic film used to unitize and stabilize palletized loads for shipping and storage.

An additive that slows degradation of plastic from sunlight. Critical for bags and totes stored outdoors.
